Mohamed Helmy

Mohamed Helmy is a seasoned professional in port and maritime affairs, currently serving as Senior Manager at NEOM since August 2022. With extensive experience, Mohamed previously held the position of Director of Port Operations at the Economic Cities and Special Zones Authority from September 2013 to August 2022, where responsibilities included leading complex terminal operations at King Abdullah Port and implementing efficiency initiatives. Prior roles include Port Operations Expert at MAWANI from September 2009 to September 2013, where contributions included developing a national ports strategy, and Planning Manager at Alexandria International Container Terminals from October 2006 to September 2009. Mohamed's career began at APL as an Operations Executive from November 1999 to October 2006. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Port Management from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport and a Diploma in Terminal Management from Lloyd's Maritime Academy.
