Owayed Alghamdi

Owayed Alghamdi is an experienced technology and cybersecurity professional with a diverse background in leadership roles. At NEOM, Owayed held positions as Director of Technology Capability Development and Senior Manager for The Line Security Development from May 2022 to April 2023. Prior to that, Owayed spent nearly a decade at a confidential company, serving as an Advanced Technologies and Cyber Security Expert, Vice President for Communications Systems and Frequency Spectrum, and Director of Special Communications and Security Systems. Owayed also contributed to the International Telecommunication Union as a Working Party Member from May 2014 to November 2018 and served as a referee for the Institution of Engineering and Technology in March 2014. An academic background includes a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Wireless Communications Engineering from the University of Plymouth and a Master of Science (MSc) in Electrical Engineering with a specialty in communications from King Saud University.
