Paul Groves

Paul Groves serves as the Director of Design & Engineering Management at NEOM since April 2020, overseeing substantial transportation infrastructure projects including high-speed rail and airports, along with managing a vast portfolio of architectural and engineering consultancies. Prior to this, Paul held the position of Atkins Fellow at Ws Atkins Plc from June 2008 to March 2020, contributing to thought leadership and technical advising on innovation and risk issues. From August 2006 to March 2020, Paul was a Director at Atkins Middle East, leading significant projects in transportation and infrastructure across the Gulf region, notably the Doha Metro and various major tunneling and civil engineering initiatives. Earlier experience includes roles as Associate Director at Atkins China Limited, Principal Engineer at Coffey International, and UK Manager at Dr Sauer Company Ltd, all involving extensive management and engineering responsibilities in tunneling and underground works across Asia and Australia. Paul holds a Master of Science in Engineering Geology and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Imperial College London.
