Pierre Voges is an accomplished urban planning and economic development professional with a diverse background spanning over three decades. Currently serving as the Director of Urban Planning at NEOM since May 2022, Pierre is responsible for regional and master plan regulations and the establishment of a Public Services Company for NEOM. Previously, Pierre held the role of Chief Executive Officer at Atlantis Special Economic Zone Company from September 2016 to August 2022, leading the development of a Greentech manufacturing zone and implementing an urban regeneration Master Plan. Between August 2004 and August 2016, Pierre served as Chief Executive Officer of the Mandela Bay Development Agency, overseeing urban renewal and tourism infrastructure projects. Additional experience includes a directorial position at Grant Thornton LLP, CEO roles in various organizations, and advisory roles in governmental departments, with a strong focus on urban economic development. Pierre holds extensive academic credentials in economics and urban planning from the University of Stellenbosch and University of Pretoria.
