Yassin Bakha

Yassin Bakha is an experienced professional in the field of desalination and engineering management with a career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as the Director of Desalination at NEOM since June 2022, Yassin previously held multiple roles at SAUR, including GCC Technical Director and General Manager of Operations & Maintenance and Procurement & Logistics for Jubail Plants. Prior to that, Yassin spent 17 years at SUEZ environnement as Global Engineering Director, overseeing global engineering operations and implementing strategies to enhance productivity and competitiveness. Notable contributions include managing significant projects such as the Victorian Desalination Project in Australia and optimizing operational performance at the Samra wastewater plant in Jordan. Yassin's earlier roles involved engineering management in India, China, and various positions throughout the Middle East. Yassin holds a degree from the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers, earned between 1994 and 1998.
