John Fathman

Principal Scientist at Neomorph

John Fathman has a diverse work experience in the field of immunology and drug discovery. John is currently working as a Principal Scientist at Neomorph, Inc. since March 2021. Prior to that, they held various roles at GNF from 2012 to 2021, including Principal Scientist II and Investigator III. John also worked as an Institute Fellow and Postdoctoral Fellow, focusing on drug discovery and in vivo pharmacology. John completed their doctoral work as an Immunology Graduate Student at Stanford School of Medicine from 2006 to 2011, where they studied NK cell development and identified novel cell surface markers. Before that, they worked as a Research Assistant III at The Scripps Research Institute and as a Research Assistant at Harvard Medical School, focusing on the role of arginine methylation, NIP45 deficient mast cells, and T-bet in various disease models.

John Fathman attended Menlo High School from 1993 to 1995. After completing high school, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology at Lewis & Clark College from 1997 to 2002. John then went on to Stanford University School of Medicine, where they obtained a PhD in Immunology from 2006 to 2011.
