Nathalia C. has a diverse work experience in the field of research and science. Nathalia began their career at the University of California, San Diego as a Student Researcher in the Ross Lab from September 2010 to January 2012. Nathalia then worked as a Graduate Student Researcher in the Xu Lab at the same university from March 2012 to September 2014.
Following that, Nathalia joined the Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute as a Research Associate I and Lab Manager from October 2014 to July 2017. Nathalia gained experience in managing a laboratory and conducting research in this role.
In 2017, they joined Biosplice Therapeutics as a Research Associate III. During their four-year tenure, they contributed to the development of small-molecule therapeutics based on alternative pre-mRNA splicing. Nathalia played a key role in elucidating the biology linking CLK/DYRK kinases to the regulation of alternative splicing.
Currently, Nathalia is working at Neomorph, Inc. as a Senior Associate Scientist, a position they started in June 2021.
Nathalia C. obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Molecular Biology from UC San Diego. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from the same institution, which they completed between 2012 and 2014.
