Mark Long's work experience begins in 1990 at SRI International, where they worked as a Senior Manager in virtual reality research and product development. Mark then became the CEO of Zombie Studios in 1994, where they designed and produced video games for various platforms and clients. In 2011, they became the CEO of Meteor Entertainment, a global publisher of HAWKEN. After leaving Meteor Entertainment in 2013, they started their own company called Aristia, where they served as CEO and provided strategic and transmedia services. In 2016, they joined Microsoft as a Group Program Manager, overseeing the xCloud gaming platform. Mark left Microsoft in 2018 and joined HBO as a Director, leading an interactive team to redefine the entertainment experience. Currently, they are the CEO of SHRAPNEL.
Mark Long attended The University of Texas at Austin from 1977 to 1981, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree. Mark later enrolled in the Army Command & General Staff College for a Major in Military Science and Operational Studies, Reserve Course. Moreover, they completed an Executive Education Program at The Wharton School, with a focus on New Product Intro and Managing Innovation. In 2006, Mark obtained certification from the Producers Guild of America's New Media Council.
