NEPSI, an American Superconductor company, is the world's premiere provider of medium-voltage reactive compensation systems, including metal-enclosed capacitor banks and harmonic filter banks. Designed, manufactured, and tested all in New York – we can create an entirely custom solution for any of your power quality needs.

NEPSI’s systems are found in over 1,500 project locations throughout the world, serving large industries including oil & gas, renewables, mining, data centers, chemical processing, utility generation and distribution, manufacturing, and others. We have shipped into virtually all environments, such as the high seismic and high altitudes of South America, the high temperatures of the Mojave Desert and the Middle East, the high humidity of the Gulf Coast, and the arctic cold and snow of Northern Canada. You name the environment, and NEPSI is sure to have designed for it.

NEPSI’s reactive power systems are designed for 50/60 Hertz power systems, come in voltage ratings from 2.4 kV through 38 kV, impulse withstand ratings of 60 kV to 200 kV, and individual equipment reactive power ratings to 75 MVAR and up. NEPSI has a history of innovation and has revolutionized the “metal-enclosed” industry to include very large, pre-assembled, and fully tested reactive power banks in ratings that were once not thought possible in the metal-enclosed configuration.

NEPSI’s equipment is built on sound engineering principles in accordance with U.S., Canadian, ANSI, IEEE, IEC, and other international standards. NEPSI is third party certified to ISO 9001:2015, and factory certified to label equipment in accordance with IEEE C37.20.3-2001 and C22.2.
