Matt Wasowski

Matt Wasowski is an accomplished marketing professional with 25 years of extensive experience in event programming and business development. Currently serving as the Director of New Business and Product Development for SAE International, Matt focuses on creating new events that engage audiences in the automotive, aerospace, and transportation sectors. As the CEO of Nerd Nite, Matt has expanded a global presentation series from two cities to nearly 125 worldwide. Previous roles include Content Director for major conventions like New York Comic Con and BookExpo, where Matt spearheaded initiatives to enhance audience engagement through diverse events. Additionally, Matt has shared expertise as an adjunct professor in creative writing and has held senior positions in marketing and customer programs at Blackboard. Educationally, Matt holds a BA in Communications from the University of Pennsylvania and an MFA in Non-Fiction Creative Writing from The New School.
