NerD|OtakU is a Zambian-based community organization dedicated to celebrating, promoting, and growing nerd and otaku culture across Africa. We create inclusive spaces for fans of anime, manga, gaming, comics, technology, cosplay, and other creative subcultures to connect, learn, and showcase their passions.

Through flagship events like LsCon (Lusaka Comic Con), AniMeet, LANFests, and themed monthly gatherings, we provide unique opportunities for fans and creators to engage in activities such as cosplay competitions, trivia nights, tabletop RPGs, karaoke parties, esports tournaments, and artist showcases. 

Beyond events, NerD|OtakU also produces digital content, podcasts, and video essays. We collaborate with artists, tech companies, NGOs, and educational partners to expand opportunities for young people in Zambia through initiatives such as game jams, media production, and esports development.

Our mission is to bridge global pop culture with local creativity, positioning Zambia as a hub where art, technology, and fandom intersect.
