Sean Pyles

Sean Pyles, CFP®, is a seasoned media professional currently serving as the Senior Producer and Host of the Smart Money Podcast at NerdWallet, a position held since March 2016. In this role, Sean oversees all aspects of production for the podcast, including episode ideation, workflow management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve growth targets. Prior experience includes writing for Radio Free Richmond, where Sean managed editorial content and fostered community engagement, and an editorial internship at San Francisco Magazine focused on fact-checking and article writing. Additional roles include PR consulting for Intelenex and an internship at Windy City Times. Sean holds a Bachelor of Arts in Writing and Politics from Marlboro College and continues education at John Cabot University.
