Derek Wheeler

Derek Wheeler serves as the Regional Security Manager at Northeast Security Inc. since January 2023 and previously held the position of Senior Project Manager at Boston Properties (BXP). Derek's extensive experience includes a tenure at Allied Universal from April 2014 to December 2022, where roles encompassed Project Manager and Security Patrol Manager at BXP, among others at Novartis. Derek's practical knowledge has been enhanced by internships, including a position with the University of Massachusetts Lowell's Center for Terrorism and Security Studies, focusing on jihadist-related terrorism data analysis, and a role with the Massachusetts State Police Human Trafficking Unit. Academic qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Security Studies: International Security and a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology, both from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
