Matthew Volk

Matthew Volk has extensive work experience in the sports industry. Matthew is currently working as the Chief Operating Officer at NESN since 2023. Prior to this, they held positions at Audacy, Inc., where they served as the Senior Vice President of Sports from 2022 to 2023 and as the Vice President of Sports from 2021 to 2022. Matthew was responsible for leading Audacy's sports content and business operations strategy, overseeing sports podcasts, digital editorial, social media, and video verticals.

Before joining Audacy, Volk worked at NBC Sports Washington as the Vice President of Content Strategy from 2018 to 2021. Matthew oversaw content creation, acquisitions, and licensing for all platforms, including digital content strategy and original content planning.

Volk also has extensive experience at ESPN, where they worked from 2003 to 2018. Matthew held various roles, including Director, Programming & Acquisitions, where they led cross-platform content generation and acquisitions for key sports properties. Matthew was involved in program acquisitions, content strategy, and scheduling across multiple sports.

Additionally, Volk has worked as a Coaching & Football Operations Assistant for the New England Patriots and as the General Manager of Bowdoin Cable Network at Bowdoin College. During their time at Bowdoin College, they oversaw budget, production, staffing, and operation of the network, and also wrote, produced, and co-directed a movie.

Matthew Volk attended Bowdoin College from 1999 to 2003, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government.
