Angela Mitchell

Angela Mitchell currently serves as the Head of Scotland at Nesta since June 2023. Prior to this role, Angela held the position of National Director at Diabetes UK from February 2018 to June 2023 and acted as Deputy Director at Soil Association Scotland from October 2012 to January 2018. Angela's earlier experience includes various roles at a Scottish Government and Big Lottery funded pilot project focused on community engagement for carbon reduction while pursuing a part-time MSc on pro-environmental behaviour change. Angela founded a multimedia consultancy from 2005 to 2008 and worked as a Producer/Director for BBC and other media organizations from 1995 to 2004. Angela holds a BA Hons in Film & Media from the University of Stirling and a PgDip with Distinction in Public Relations from Queen Margaret University.
