Tom Leach

Tom Leach is a Senior Policy Advisor at Nesta since March 2023, bringing extensive experience in policy development and crisis management. Previously, Tom served as a Senior Policy Advisor at the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities from May 2022 to February 2023, with a focus on EPC reform. Prior roles include Team Leader of the COVID-19 Taskforce at the Cabinet Office, where responsibilities included analysis and data management, and a position in Crisis Response within the Civil Contingencies Secretariat. Earlier experience includes a Policy Advisor role at the Department for Education centered on apprenticeships funding and strategy. Tom's technical background includes positions as a Student Engineer at WSP in the UK and an Engineering Undergraduate Placement Student at the Manufacturing Technology Centre. Tom holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Engineering Design from the University of Bristol, completed in 2018.
