Peter Mather

Peter Mather is the Chair at Two Magnolias Venture Capital and the Great Run Company, and serves as the Interim Lead Non-Executive Director at the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero. Following a notable tenure at bp where they were Group Regional President for Europe and Head of bp UK, Peter has taken on a diverse portfolio of advisory roles. They possess extensive experience in the energy sector, having worked in various capacities including oil trading, refining, and corporate governance across multiple European countries. Peter holds an MA from Oxford and an MBA from INSEAD, and is an honorary Fellow of King’s College, London. Fluent in French and German, Peter also enjoys arts and sports in their leisure time.
