With a robust background in television, Simmons spent over two decades at KCPT - Kansas City Public Television, initially as Vice President of Education & Engagement, where strategic planning focused on increasing diversity and educational opportunities, followed by roles overseeing TV Production, Creative Services, and digital media projects. Simmons holds a B.A. in Film, English, and Education from the University of Notre Dame.
