George Walter

George Walter is a seasoned financial professional with extensive experience in accounting and financial management. Currently serving as Senior Controller at the National Educational Telecommunications Association since December 2016, George oversees a range of financial management activities to support organizational growth and stability. As the proprietor of George E. Walter, CMA, CPA since 1985, George prepares tax returns for individuals and small businesses. Previous roles include Chief Financial Officer at WXXI Public Broadcasting Council, where responsibilities included financial risk management and merger feasibility assessments, and Director of Finance and Information Services, overseeing all financial operations. Additional experience includes serving as Treasurer of the Alumni Council at Alfred University and working as a staff accountant at Goldstein & Fredericksen, CPA's and EFP Rotenberg, LLP. George holds a B.S. in Accounting from Alfred University.
