Timothy Eernisse has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Timothy worked as the Vice President of Education at the National Educational Telecommunications Association from 2018. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Development and Marketing at WGVU Public Media, where they led the Development and Marketing team, managed fundraising events, and oversaw marketing efforts for various media channels. Before joining WGVU, Timothy worked at Habitat for Humanity of Kent County, where they were involved in the Face to Face Campaign. Timothy also served as the Director of New Business Development at Grand Rapids HOOPS, where they worked on sponsorships, game day operations, events, and camps. Timothy started their career in the United States Air Force, where they worked as a Weapons Loader on A-10 aircraft for 8 years, having the opportunity to travel to various countries.
Timothy Eernisse pursued their education starting in 1990 at the Community College of the Air Force, where they studied Armament Systems. Timothy completed their studies in 1998. Following this, from 2006 to 2018, Timothy attended Grand Valley State University, majoring in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Leadership. During this period, they did not obtain a specific degree. In addition to their academic achievements, Timothy Eernisse obtained the certification of Public Media Diversity Fellow from the Riley Institute at Furman University in December 2021.
