Julie Chen has over two decades of experience in information architecture and technical writing. Since October 2006, Julie has been an Information Architect at NetApp, where responsibilities include developing a comprehensive information center with 70 curated technical documents and restructuring extensive documentation into workflow-based deliverables. Prior to this role, Julie worked at HP from January 2000 to January 2006 as a Technical Writer, producing HTML-based interactive documentation and representing the Publications group in core teams. Julie's academic background includes serving as an Assistant Professor at Southeast Missouri State University from July 1996 to June 2000, teaching courses in linguistics and research methodologies while also advising students. Julie earned a Ph.D. in Language Education and a Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics from Indiana University Bloomington.
