Michael Coates

Michael Coates is a software engineer with extensive experience in developing high-performance software solutions across various sectors. Currently at NetApp, Michael focuses on UEFI, BIOS, FreeBSD, and high-performance filesystems. Prior to this role, Michael served as a Principal Software Engineer at HPR, leading the development of ultra-low latency software for equities trading. Experience includes significant positions at Amazon Web Services, where contributions were made to the EC2 Nitro kernel, VPC, and the Aurora PostgreSQL engine.
