Mike Beattie

Mike Beattie is a highly skilled engineering professional with extensive experience in software development and enhancements in complex storage operating systems. Currently serving as a Principal Engineer at NetApp since June 2008, Mike has a proven track record of modernizing legacy software systems and collaborating with partner teams to deliver high-quality features. Prior roles include working as a Software Engineer at Pittsburgh Pattern Recognition, where Mike supported commercialization efforts and quality assurance initiatives, and at Carnegie Mellon University as a Research Assistant, leading a research initiative funded by the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Mike's early experience includes roles at Apple, where automated testing for the iPod was developed, and as an Embedded Software Intern at Compunetix. Mike holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
