Sergey Osokin

Sergey Osokin is an experienced technology professional with a diverse background in software development, system administration, and consulting. Currently serving as a Ports Committer for The FreeBSD Project since 2003 and a Packages Committer for NetBSD since 2022, Sergey has developed third-party software ports and contributed significantly to open-source projects. As a self-employed Research and Development Engineer since 2009, Sergey designed the ngx_http_redis module for NGINX to facilitate communications with Redis databases. Past roles include Senior Principal Consultant and Principal Consultant for NGINX at F5 and extensive experience in continuous integration and code quality inspection at Deutsche Bank Global Technology. Sergey has also led network development departments at Enter, LLC and Prestige Internet LLC, while holding system engineering and administrator positions at various organizations since 1996. Sergey holds a degree in Mathematics, Programming, and Computer Science from the National University of Science and Technology "MISIS."
