Roman Bestler

Roman Bestler has extensive work experience in the financial technology sector. Roman started their career at SunGard Financial Systems in 1997 as a Senior Consultant, working on complex software implementations for larger financial institutions. In 2000, they transitioned into the role of Product Manager/Lead Developer, where they designed and developed an ETL application for financial enterprise systems. Roman then took on the role of Manager Integration and Technology, responsible for managing a team of technical data integration experts and successfully implementing projects in the European financial market.

In 2007, Roman became the Director of European Services at SunGard, where they led and managed a project portfolio for market and credit risk software implementations, coached and managed multiple teams, and handled account management for financial institutions. In 2015, they became the Director of European Services and Account Management, with sales and account management responsibilities for Switzerland, Germany, and Austria. Roman also led and managed the project portfolio for market and credit risk software implementations.

In 2019, Roman joined FIS as the Director of Services and Account Management. In this role, they continued to handle sales and account management responsibilities for Switzerland, Germany, and Austria, while also leading and managing a project portfolio for market and credit risk micro services and standard software implementations customized for the financial industry.

Currently, Roman is the Director of Financial Technology at Netcetera - Software matters, starting in 2020.

Roman Bestler obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science from FH Aargau, where they studied from 1994 to 1997.
