Mike Gammill began their work experience as an NCO in the United States Air Force from November 1972 to November 1980. Mike then worked as a Business Development professional at C3 Inc. from December 1980 to February 1990. Following that, Mr. Gammill served as President of Government Telecommunications, Inc. from March 1990 to October 2001. Mike then founded APEX Strategies, Inc., a management consulting firm, in January 2002 and served as its President until April 2009. From May 2009 to April 2012, they worked as the Director of Iron Mountain Government Services. In June 2006, they started working as a Registered Nurse at Inova Loudoun Hospital, where they specialized in emergency room and intensive care unit nursing. Additionally, since July 1984, Mike has worked as a Paramedic at Sterling Volunteer Rescue Squad. Currently, they are Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer at Netcom Technologies, where they oversee business compliance, security, and contracts assets.

Mike Gammill has a diverse education history spanning several decades. In 1973, they enrolled at the Community College of the Air Force, where they studied Mathematics and Computer Science until 1976. Following this, from 1978 to 1980, they attended Rose State College, focusing on Mathematics and English Literature. In 2004, they returned to their studies at Excelsior University, where they pursued an ASN degree in Nursing, ultimately completing it in 2006. Additionally, in June 2006, Mike obtained the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) certification from the institution in Virginia. Mike continued their education at Excelsior University, graduating in 2019 with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing, specializing in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse.
