David Hansen

David Hansen has a diverse work experience. David started their career as the Administrative Director for the Office of U.S. Senator Orrin Hatch, overseeing budget, accounting, payroll, and staff management. David then moved on to SurgiVision as the Controller & Director of Accounting, responsible for company accounting, IT management, and staff supervision.

Afterwards, David held roles at Sharrel Cummings CPA, PLLC as an Associate and at Salt Lake - Tooele Applied Technology College as the Director of Marketing & Public Relations. David then co-founded GeoAnalytica, where they managed various aspects of the business including accounting, sales, marketing, and budgeting.

David also worked at Money Campus Foundation as the Executive Director of Operations, where they organized the foundation, handled accounting and tax compliance, and developed marketing strategies. David later joined Finicity, where they served as the Vice President of Human Resources and interim positions such as Vice President Operations and Director of Marketing.

Currently, David is working at NetDocuments, initially as the Compliance Manager, then as the Director of Compliance, and currently as the Vice President of Compliance. In these roles, they led and managed the company's compliance with multiple standards, developed policies and procedures, and acted as a liaison for security compliance audits.

Prior to their professional career, David Hansen worked at their own firm, David Hansen, CPA, where they assisted businesses with accounting and tax filings. David also set up business accounting systems, advised on accounting projects, and completed state filings for a non-profit entity.

David Hansen has a diverse education history. David obtained a Masters degree in Journalism from American University in 1998. Prior to that, they earned a Masters and Bachelors degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University between 1986 and 1992. Their educational journey began with an Associates degree in Communications from Brigham Young University - Idaho in 1986. In addition to their formal education, David has obtained several certifications, including a Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE) from ISACA in 2021, a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in 2020, and a Certified Public Accountant from the State of Maryland in 2003. David also holds the certification of KC7OY Advanced Class Amateur Radio Operator from the FCC, which they obtained in 1981.
