Andy Yao

Andy Yao is a seasoned professional in product management with extensive experience in machine learning and artificial intelligence. Currently serving as the Director of Product Management at Netflix since January 2021, Andy focuses on content understanding and machine learning foundations for asset creation and personalization. Previously, as the Product Lead for Video/Audio Machine Learning at Facebook from January 2019 to January 2021, Andy contributed significantly to the development of advanced video and audio technologies. Andy's prior roles include Senior Director of Product Management at Huawei Cloud, where responsibilities encompassed speech and NLP/NLU cloud services, and CEO positions at both KrSpace and Shinect, where entrepreneurial leadership and community building were key outcomes. Educational credentials include an MBA in Strategy and Entrepreneurship from the University of California, Berkeley, and a BS in Computer Science from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
