Dave King

Dave King is an experienced security professional with a strong background in cybersecurity and engineering. From February 2016 to November 2022, Dave served as a Staff Security Engineer at Netflix, leading a team focused on risk assessment automation for the company's assets. Prior to Netflix, Dave worked at VMware from July 2011 to February 2016, contributing to product security as a senior engineer and team leader, and overseeing security design reviews and response initiatives. Dave's earlier experience includes leading an internal penetration testing team at Zions Bancorporation and managing a vulnerability program, along with founding Remote Checkup, Inc. to develop PCI scanning solutions. Additionally, Dave has engaged with the professional community as a speaker at Defcon 18. Educationally, Dave holds a Master's degree in Information Assurance from Norwich University and a BS in Computer Science from Brigham Young University.
