Prior to Netflix, they worked at Roku for over a decade, where they held positions ranging from Principal Software Engineer to Software Engineer, contributing to the development and optimization of the Roku OS and streaming platform. Derek is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University.
