Greg Benson

Greg Benson is a technology and engineering professional with diverse experience spanning multiple industries. As the Founder of the West African Volunteer Organization since December 2018, Greg's mission focuses on improving the lives of West Africans living in poverty. Previous roles include Engineering Manager at Netflix, where significant improvements were made to the Android application, and Director of Software Engineering at Disney Streaming, overseeing application development across major streaming platforms. Greg also held leadership positions at Google, managing teams in the Grasshopper and Play Store divisions, and gained early experience as an Engineering Assistant at Potentia Power Systems and various software development roles at companies such as Dolby Laboratories and Amazon Music. Greg holds an MSc in Music & Audio Technology from the University of York and a BSc in Electrical/Computer Engineering from Queen's University.
