John McGrew

John McGrew is an experienced music director and creative producer with a diverse background in the performing arts and digital media. Notable roles include Music Director at Acting Manitou, where original musicals were created, and Pre-School Music Director for the Choo Choo Train Project, focusing on children's creative expression. McGrew has held various positions in music production at Mattel, Inc., overseeing musical content for animated shows and directing original content for toys and apps. As a freelance audio editor for Penguin Random House, McGrew contributed to mobile language course audio. Most recently, McGrew has led the Music Creative Production team for Netflix Series Animation, building on a foundation of expertise from positions at Sony Music Entertainment and ownership of John McGrew Music. McGrew holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Drama and Dramatics/Theatre Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
