Lauren Simmonds is the Director & Senior Counsel of Copyright and Intellectual Property at Netflix, where they have been instrumental in guiding legal strategy since 2019. Prior to this, Lauren served in various roles at NBCUniversal Media, including Manager and Counsel within the Intellectual Property department from 2014 to 2018. Their foundational experiences include positions as a Research Analyst at DecisionQuest and as a Law Clerk to Judge Joseph D. Russo, along with internships at Universal Pictures and Lynda Obst Productions. Lauren earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Boston University and a Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
