Mark McGuire

Mark McGuire is a highly experienced Director of Engineering currently serving as the CTO and SVP of Technology for Feature Animation at Netflix. With a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Davis, they have held significant roles at renowned companies including DreamWorks Animation—where they were Head of Global Technical Directors and Head of Production Pipeline—and Blue Sky Studios as Head of Research and Engineering. Prior to their current position, Mark was the Director of Engineering for Animation at Netflix from 2021 to 2023, illustrating a progressive career in animation and technical direction within the industry. They also gained valuable experience at Rhythm & Hues as a Technical Director, Production Manager, and FX Artist from 1997 to 2003.
