Max Schmeiser

Max Schmeiser is an accomplished data science and engineering professional with extensive experience in leading teams across prominent companies. Currently serving as the VP of Content, Studio, and Ads Data Science & Engineering at Netflix since May 2022, Schmeiser previously held significant roles, including Head of Data Science at Twitter, where efforts focused on ensuring data-driven decision-making, and Head of Data Science at Convoy Inc, transforming the trucking industry through advanced analytics. At Amazon, Schmeiser managed various data science and machine learning teams, contributing to employee analytics and lending risk management. Earlier in their career, Schmeiser was a Principal Economist at the Federal Reserve Board and served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Schmeiser holds a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Policy Analysis and Management from Cornell University, along with degrees in Economics from McMaster University and the University of Regina.
