Peter Lau is an experienced software engineer and technology leader with a diverse background spanning over a decade. Currently serving as a Software Engineer at Netflix since January 2019, Peter specializes in creating a consistent developer experience through innovative UI solutions for mission-critical services. Prior to Netflix, Peter co-founded and held the position of CTO at JLine, where a ride-sharing platform was developed. Peter also has a strong history in engineering management at Fandango, specifically overseeing operations for Rotten Tomatoes, and has made significant contributions to web performance as Lead Engineer. Earlier roles include software engineering at Lucid Motors, specializing in firmware for battery management systems, and research consulting for Transport for London. Peter holds a Master’s Degree in Transportation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's Degree in EECS from the University of California, Berkeley.
