Sonya Makunga is currently the Vice President and Head of Real Estate Legal & EHS Governance at Netflix, where they have served as Senior Counsel for Real Estate since 2018. Prior to this, Sonya held various vice president and senior legal counsel roles at Warner Bros. from 2000 to 2017. They also practiced as an associate at Proskauer Rose LLP and Loeb & Loeb LLP in the mid-1990s. Sonya is pursuing a JD at the University of California, Los Angeles, and holds a BA in Political Science and Spanish from Williams College.
