Spencer Wang

Spencer heads up several teams in the Finance department including Corporate Strategy, Planning & Analysis, Investor Relations & Research, and Corporate Development/M&A. The Corporate Strategy, Planning & Analysis team is responsible for the global P&L, subscriber analytics across all geographies, and analyses to inform key decisions including capital structure, margin targets and headcount growth. Spencer and the IR team lead Netflix’s relationship with equity and debt investors, assist in capital structure optimization and capital raising and perform special research projects on new business opportunities and competitive analysis. Spencer also oversees the Corporate Development team and the company’s M&A strategy and execution. Prior to joining Netflix in 2015, Spencer worked on Wall Street for 16 years at several bulge bracket investment banks, where he was an award-winning equity research analyst specializing in the Internet & Media sectors.
