Stephen Shaw

Stephen Shaw is currently the Principal Counsel for Product IP Legal at Netflix, bringing extensive experience in intellectual property from roles at Google, Fitbit, and Chamberlain Group. Prior to Netflix, they served as Hardware Patent Counsel at Google and as Director of Intellectual Property at Fitbit, where they led patent strategy and education initiatives across various technology sectors. Stephen began their legal career as an Associate Patent Attorney and has held partnership positions at Brokaw Patent Law and Novak Druce Connolly Bove + Quigg LLP. They earned a J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law, along with a B.A. in Accounting from Furman University and a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of South Carolina.
