Thomas Pinder

Thomas Pinder is a Senior Data Scientist on Netflix's Studios Team, where they build causal models to measure various aspects of performance. As the founder of JAXGaussianProcesses, Thomas has been leading the development of computationally efficient Gaussian process models since 2021. Previously, they worked as a Machine Learning Researcher at Mind Foundry and as a Data Scientist at Relative Insight, where they contributed to projects involving Bayesian optimization and unsupervised text summarization, respectively. Thomas holds a PhD in Statistics and a Master's degree in Data Science from Lancaster University, along with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Reading.
