John Owens

John Owens, CFA, is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in strategic planning and financial management. Currently serving as Senior Manager FP&A at NETGEAR since November 2023, John previously held the roles of Acting CFO/COO and Head of Finance at mCards Inc., where responsibilities included developing strategic business plans, monthly financial reporting, and managing diverse financial functions. Prior to mCards Inc., John was a Manager at EY specializing in valuations and financial modeling, and held various finance and operations positions at Bord Gáis Energy, including Modelling Team Lead. Additional roles include freelance consulting in financial modeling and instructional positions in CFA content development. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a Higher Diploma in Business and Financial Information Systems, both from University College Cork.
