Sameera Kapila

Sameera Kapila is a seasoned design professional with extensive experience in product design and leadership roles. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Product Design at Netlify since May 2022, Sameera has held various positions within the company, including Interim Design Manager and Staff Product Designer. Prior experience includes serving as Design Director at thoughtbot, focusing on MVP projects across the Americas, and co-chairing the DEI Council. Sameera's earlier roles include Director of Instruction and Design Instructor at The Iron Yard, where contributions to academic operations and diversity initiatives were significant. Additional experience includes a lecturer position at Texas State University and a designer role at Southern Brand Collective. Sameera holds an MFA in Communication Design from Texas State University and a BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Florida.
