Jon Marcy

Jon Marcy has over 38 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Jon began their career in 1983 as a Non-Commissioned Officer in the United States Air Force. In 1987, they joined GTE as a Program Manager, where they managed a large microwave radio network for the Corps of Engineers. In 1997, they joined Verizon Federal Network Systems as a Business Area Manager, responsible for marketing and sales with the United States Navy. In 2001, they joined Vigilinx as a Director of Business Development - Federal/International, where they created a Managed Security Services capability. In 2004, they joined Nortel Government Solutions as Vice President of Sales, Navy Programs, and successfully negotiated a subcontract position with EDS's NMCI contract. In 2007, they became President and CEO of Netmaker Communications LLC, providing specialized strategic engineering support to transition DOD agencies and departments from legacy TDM based DSN services to emerging IP based Unified Capabilities services. In 2022, they became the Owner of Marcy Property Group LLC.

Jon Marcy's education history consists of a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Telecommunications from Professional Training in 1993, an Architecture degree from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology between 1980 and 1981, an Associate of Science in Information Technology (ASIT) from the University of Phoenix in 2008, and a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) from the University of Phoenix in 2013. Additionally, they have obtained four certifications: Modern Telecommunication Networking Technology from The George Washington University in 1993, Analyzing Communications System Performance from The George Washington University in 1991, AN/TRC-170 Maintenance Course from the United States Air Force in 1985, and Wideband Communications Specialist Course from the United States Air Force in 1984.
