Lee Curling has worked in the telecommunications industry for over 30 years. In 1987, they began their career with the United States Army Reserve as a First Sergeant, where they commanded combat troops in Iraq. In 1991, they joined Honeywell Technology Solutions, Inc. as a Field Engineer. During their time there, they worked on ground-based extension of satellite communications, cryptographic circuits, and the Navy's first tactical smart multiplexing system. Lee was also the Project Manager for the tactical multiplexer extension on the Island of Guam. In 2000, they joined Nortel Networks as a Principle Engineer and designed and implemented the largest converged VoIP solution in the US Navy at the time. In 2010, they joined Avaya as a Sales Engineer. During their time there, they were a technical advisor to multiple echelons, designed technical solutions, and was a technical liaison between the project management team and the customer. In 2022, they joined Netmaker Communications LLC as an Engineering Lead and Senior Telecommunications Engineer.
Lee Curling attended Great Bridge High School from 1983 to 1987. Lee then attended Old Dominion University from 1987 to 1990, studying Political Science and Government. In 2017, they completed a Cyber Security Certificate of Specialization at Tidewater Community College. Lee has also obtained numerous certifications from Avaya and CompTIA, including CompTIA Network+ ce Certification, APDS - Avaya Video Conferencing Solutions, APSS - Avaya Customer Engagement Solutions, APSS - Avaya Enterprise Team Engagement Solutions, APSS - Avaya Video Conferencing Solutions, APSS - Midmarket Solutions, APSS - Avaya POD Fx, APDS - Avaya Customer Engagement Solutions, APSS - Avaya Aura Applicaion Server 5300, APDS - Avaya Networking Solutions, APSS - Avaya Networking Solutions, APDS - Avaya Enterprise Team Engagement Solutions, APSS - Engagement OnAvaya Google Cloud Platform, and APSS - Avaya SDN Fx Solutions.
