Melissa Phillips is the Vice President of Product Management at Netreo. Melissa has over 20 years of experience in management consulting, program management, system implementation, operational assessment, process improvement, and product development. Melissa has worked with companies of all sizes across industries from life sciences to high tech.

In their previous role as a management consultant at PRTM (now part of PwC), Melissa led pre-commercial Pharma/Biotech LIMS implementation for a firm preparing to ramp up for commercial production for a vaccine pending FDA approval. This included design, implementation, validation, and deployment. Melissa also led Pharma/Biotech ERP computer system validation for an ERP upgrade at a $5 billion dollar global biotech firm.

In addition to their work in the Pharma/Biotech industry, Melissa has also worked extensively in business system architecture and process improvement. Melissa led IT architecture and implementation activities for a divested Pharma/Biotech spin-off, including application integration within internal business systems and those of 3rd party logistics providers. Melissa has also streamlined IT operations processes at a global network company to deliver same-or-better quality at significantly reduced cost.

Most recently, Melissa conducted an IT assessment of a multi-billion dollar life sciences firm's IT organization, systems, skills, and processes.

Melissa Phillips earned their MBA in finance with a focus on quantitative approaches to business problems from Santa Clara University. Melissa also holds a BS in computer engineering from the University of California, Santa Cruz. In addition, they have several certification from Coursera, including Executive Data Science Specialization, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, and Ethics, Computer Simulations, Computational Social Science Methods, Social Network Analysis, and Usable Security.

Melissa Phillips reports to Jasmin Young, CEO. They are on a team with Jon April - Vice President, Security and Cloud Operations, James Mancini - Co-Founder and Vice President of Solutions Architecture, and Josh Chessman - VP, Strategy and Innovation.
