Alistair McLean has over 10 years of experience in software development and engineering. Alistair currently works at NetRise Inc. as a Staff Backend Software Engineer. Alistair's experience also includes working at Riffyn as a Software Engineer, where they engaged in full-stack development using Golang, Python, Javascript, Typescript, Meteor. js, MongoDB, React. js, & Blaze. Alistair also worked at Tech-X Corporation as a Software Developer and New Mexico State University as Assistant Systems Admin, Physics Tutor, Teaching Assistant, Research Assistant.

Alistair has also worked as a Student Research Assistant at Fermilab, where they researched Neutrino interactions in Liquid Argon, created simulations and models using ROOT, C++, C#, javascript, and Blender, and operated in Linux based environments. Alistair also developed the app called VENu, which is a Virtual Reality education application built to help teach the community about the science captured with MicroBooNE.

Alistair McLean earned a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from New Mexico State University from 2010 to 2016. In 2018, they completed an Introduction to Data Science program at Galvanize Inc.
