Thomas Pace has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the cybersecurity industry. Thomas is currently the Co-founder & CEO of NetRise Inc., where they have developed an automated, cloud-based platform for identifying risks in firmware images. Additionally, they have served as an Advisor for companies such as HiddenLayer and Passage.
In their previous roles, Thomas has held positions as an Investor at Evo Security, Vice President, Global Enterprise Solutions at BlackBerry (via Cylance Acquisition), and various consulting roles at Cylance Inc. before its acquisition by BlackBerry. Thomas has also served as the Louisiana Chapter Co-Chair for the Cloud Security Alliance.
Thomas has a strong background in teaching and academia, having been an Adjunct Professor at Tulane University, where they taught a cyber security course. Thomas has also taught training courses in threat hunting and machine learning at Black Hat conferences.

Thomas Pace obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Administration of Justice with a concentration in Terrorism from the University of Pittsburgh in 2009-2010. Thomas also completed an Associate of Science degree in Criminology & Criminal Justice at Chaminade University of Honolulu from 2006-2008.
Thomas then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Science with a concentration in Networks and Security from the University of Pittsburgh from 2009-2010. Thomas continued their education at the same institution, completing a Master of Science degree in Information Science with a focus on the Security Assured Information Systems Track from 2011-2012.
In addition to their formal education, Thomas has also obtained various certifications. Thomas became a Sourcefire Certified Professional (SFCP) v5.3 in July 2014.
