Robert Cyphers

Robert Cyphers has over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Robert began their career in 1996 as a Senior Systems Engineer at FORE Systems/Marconi, where they were responsible for end-to-end solutions design and pre- and post-sales consulting. In 2001, they moved to Zaffire as a Senior Technical Marketing Engineer. In 2002, they joined Telcove as a Business Financial Manager and Manager of Data Products Engineering, where they managed an engineering team and engineered and implemented network infrastructure for Carrier Ethernet and ATM/Frame Relay service deployments. In 2006, they joined Level 3 Communications as Director of Product Management. In 2008, they moved to ECI Telecom as a Product Line Manager. From 2012 to 2018, they were a Senior Technical Marketing Engineer at Netronome, where they developed and delivered proof-of-concept demonstrations of accelerated vSwitch, OpenFlow, software defined networking and network functions virtualization, and created technical training and application notes for customers, partners and field application engineers. Robert is currently a Senior Technical Marketing Engineer at Napatech.

Robert Cyphers holds a MSIA (MBA) from Carnegie Mellon University - Tepper School of Business, a BS in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, and a MS in Telecommunications from the University of Pittsburgh. Robert also holds certifications from Coursera Course Certificates and MITx, including Introduction to Data Science in Python, The Data Scientist’s Toolbox, Algorithmic Toolbox, Principles of Computing, An Introduction to Interactive Programming in Python, Introduction to Computer Science and Programming, and Carrier Ethernet Certified Professional (CECP) from the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF).
