Lea Thompson has extensive experience in network operations and security, currently serving as a Post-Sales Support Engineer at NETSCOUT since February 2016, where responsibilities include troubleshooting complex product issues and advising customers on best practices. Since June 2013, Lea has also been a MCNOSC Defensive Cyber Operations Hunt Technician with the Department of Defense, specializing in counter-infiltration activities. Previous roles include Sr Network Security Engineer for the United States Marine Corps from 2007 to 2013, where Lea managed global firewall installations and network configurations, and Senior Network Engineer at NavyFac HQ. Lea began a career in network administration with the United States Marine Corps from 2003 to 2006, supporting Tactical Defense Messaging Systems. Educationally, Lea holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management of Information Systems from Liberty University, awarded in 2016.
