Matthew Gelman

Matthew Gelman has extensive work experience in the software and web development field. Matthew currently works at Netsmart as a Team Lead & Senior Software Architect. In this role, they have implemented Scrum methodology and led a team through Agile Software Development. Matthew has also promoted new development through presentations and increased team productivity by adopting Continuous Integration principles. Matthew has utilized a microservices approach and Docker containers to scale data ingestion for a Web API.

Prior to Netsmart, Matthew worked at Software Solutions Consulting Inc. where they were a Web Application Developer. Matthew constructed and continuously developed an ASP. NET Web Forms auto financing application, resulting in a significant increase in application volume. Matthew also facilitated seamless SOAP-based web service integrations with companies such as Dealertrack Technologies and FedEx.

During their internship at Software Solutions Consulting Inc., Matthew served as a Web Developer and made valuable contributions. Matthew developed and implemented a CMS plugin to reduce content and style update requests. Additionally, they fixed cross-browser issues on major desktop and mobile browsers using developer tools and emulators.

Earlier in their career, Matthew worked at Stony Brook University as a Data Systems Assistant. Matthew built and debugged Microsoft Access macros for data analysis and processing. Matthew also handled technical troubleshooting tasks within the office, including system crashes, slow-downs, and data recoveries.
